Setting the date and time

After you select the language, the Date/Time screen is displayed. Set the date and time.
Note:
❏ You can change the settings later from the Setup Menu. For details, see "Making Additional Settings"
on page 44.
❏ You can also select the time format from 24 hr. or 12 hr.. 24 hr. is set as a default when you turn on
your camera for the first time.
1. Move the joystick u or d to change the value of the selected item.
2. After you finish making settings, select a different item by moving the joystick l or r.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you finish making the date and time settings, then press the OK
button.

Releasing the Shutter

The shutter button has a two-step function.

Half position

When pressing the shutter button halfway, the focus frame on the LCD monitor lights green. The
camera automatically sets the focus and shutter speed.
Full position
After the focus and shutter speed are set by pressing the shutter button halfway, press it completely
to release the shutter. The photo is taken.
