Using the optical and digital zoom features

You can capture a smaller portion of your subject at a higher
magnification using the zoom feature. When taking pictures
with the LCD monitor, you can use the digital zoom in
addition to the optical zoom to seamlessly magnify the image
by as much as five times.
1. Turn on the camera by sliding the OPEN switch to open
the lens cover.
Note:
For more information on turning on the camera, see "Turning
the camera on and off" on page 27.
2. Press T on the
W to zoom out.
3. The green and yellow bars
indicate the current zoom
status, moving to the right
when you press T on the
button to zoom in, and
to the left when you press W to
zoom out. To use the digital
zoom feature, hold down the T
on the
yellow bar appears. A yellow
frame appears around the
previewed image.
4. Frame your subject in the LCD monitor and take a picture.
