CLEAN AIR RLTER
A dirtyair filterdecreasesthe fifeand
performance of the engineand in-
creasesfuel consumption and harmful
emissions. A lwayscleanyourair filter
after15 tanksoffuel or 5 hoursof op-
eration, whichevercomesfirst.Clean
morefrequently in dustyconditions. It is
advisableto replaceyourair filterwith a
new one after every 50 hoursof opera-
tion,or annually, w hichever comesfirst.
Toclean filter:.
° Loosen3 screwson cylindercover.
° Removecylindercover.
° Remove airfilter.
° Cleanthe air filterusinghotsoapy
water.Rinsewithclean coolwater.
• Air drycompletelybeforereinstalling.
Lightly oil air filterbefore installing.
Use2-cycleengine oilor motoroit
(SAE30). Squeeze excessoilfrom
filter.Thiswillimprovetheefficiency of
the air filter.
• Reinstallair filter.
• Reinstallcylindercover and 3 screws
(15-20 in-lbs.).
