Wireless Network Installation To add the printer to your wireless network, you need to know the name (SSID) of your wireless network. Configure Network Settings 1. Make sure that the printer is turned on. 2. When you see the FireWall Warning screen, click Next 3. Make sure you connected the Ethernet cable as described on page 3. Wired (Ethernet) Installation Follow the steps in this section to add the printer to your wired network. Connect the Ethernet Cable 1. Connect an Ethernet network cable to the port on your printer. Cannot communicate on a wired LAN Make sure that the wireless setting on the printer’s control panel is set to Select from the Home menu, select Setup , and select LAN Setup communicate using a wired connection. Scanning Problems Cannot find the scanner or start Epson Scan ■ If you’re using Mac OS X, make sure that you configured the Epson Scan network settings (see page 29). ■ If network communication was interrupted while starting Epson Scan, exit Epson Scan, and restart it after a few seconds. -

If the IP address has changed, you will need to repeat the steps in “Configure Epson Scan Network Settings” on page 29. To keep the IP address from changing, try the following: always power on your network devices in the same order, always keep the printer on, or set your DHCP server to reserve an IP address for the printer (see your router’s documentation for details). -
