CLEANING
YOUR
HAND MAC
See Figures 4, 5, and 6.

WARNING:
Never use your hand vac without the
filter properly in place.
The dust bowl should be checked, emptied and cleaned
periodically to obtain maximum dust collection.

BOWL
Depress dust bowl release button located on top of
hand vac then pull bowl down and out as shown in
Figure 4.

Shake or lightly brush any dust or dirt off filter.
Empty dust bowl and wash if necessary. Make sure
dust bowl is completely dry before reattaching to hand
vac.

Place the filter in the dust bowl in the direction shown
in Figure 5.

See Figure 6.
Position the two sections as shown in Figure 6. Align
slots on bottom of dust bowl with tabs on bottom of
motor housing then snap the two sections together.

Remove the filter by simply pulling it out of the dust
bowl. See Figure 5.

WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical
Craftsman replacement
parts. Use of any other
part may create a hazard or cause product damage.
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

Do not at any time let brake fluids,
gasoline, petroleum-based
products, penetrating oils,
etc. come in contact with plastic parts. They contain
chemicals that can damage, weaken or destroy
plastic.
Do not abuse power tools. Abusive practices can damage
tool as well as workpiece.
Only the parts shown on parts list, page 11, are intended
to be repaired or replaced by the customer. All other parts
should be replaced at a Sears Service Center.
