Installation
and servicing
of air:conditioning
equipment
can be
hazardous
due to system
pressure
and electrical
components
Only
trained
and qualified
personnel
should
install,
repair,
or service
air-conditioning
equipment

personnel

functions

cleaning
coils and filters. All other operations
should be perfbrmed

service
personnel.

working
on air-conditioning
equipment,
observe

in the literature,
tags, and labels
attached
to the unit,
and other safety precautions
that may apply

and work gloves.

available
for all brazing
operations.

The operation
of yore" packaged
cooling
system
is controlled
by
the indoor
them_ostat.
You
simply
adjust
the thermostat
and
it
maintains
the indoor
temperatme
at the level
you
select.
Most
thermostats
of cooling
systems
have
3 controls:
a temperature
control
selector,
a FAN control,
and a SYSTEM
or MODE
control.

owner's
manual
for more
infbmmtiom
To better
protect
your
investment
and to eliminate
unnecessa
W
service
calls, familiarize
yourself
with the _k}llowing facts:
Step
l--Cooling
Mode
With the SYSTEM
or MODE
control
set to (OOL,
your unit will
run in cooling
mode until the indoor
temperature
is lowered
to the
level you have selected.
On extremely
hot days,
your system
will
run for longer periods
at a time and have shorter
%fF' periods
than
on moderate
days.
Step
2--Heating
Mode
{if installed
with
optional
electric
heat)
Yore" system
may also be equipped
with an electric
heating
sonrce.
On cold days and nights,
place your MODE
conhol
to HEAT
and
your system
will automatically
mm on the supplemental
heat in
order to maintain
the 1eve1 of comfort
you have selected.
STARTING
OR SHUTTING
UNIT

to unit.
