Smoothtop Surface Notes:
, Cooktop may emit mightsmoke and odor the first few
times the cooktop is used. This is normal
, Smoothtop cooktops retain heat for a period of time
after the element is turned off. Turn the dements off
a few minutes before food is compHeteHy c ooked and use
the retained heat to compHete cooking. When the hot
surface Hightturns off, the cooking area wiHH be cooH
enough to touch. Because of the way they retain heat, the
smoothtop dements wiHH not respond to changes in
settings as quickHyas coiHdements.
° In the event of a potentiaHboiHover,remove the pan from
the cooking surface.

Cooking Areas
The cooking areas on your range are identified by permanent
circHeson the smoothtop surface. For most efficient cooking,
fit the pan size to the dement size.
Pans should not extend more than t-inch beyond the
cooking area.
When a controHis turned on, a gHowcan be seen through the
smoothtop surface. The element will cycmeon and off to
maintain the preset heat setting, even on High.

Tips to Protect the
Smoothtop Surface

To Prevent Marks and Scratches

turning on to prevent scratches.

these may scratch.
To Prevent Stains
