You will need to finalize the discs
recorded in Video mode to play in
other DVD players.
Finalizing discs in Video mode
automatically creates title menus.

Press SETUP button to dis-
play SETUP/DISC menu.
SETUP/DISC menu will appear.

Select "DISC" using { / B
buttons, then press ENTER
button.

Select "Finalize" using K / L
buttons, then press ENTER
button.
Option window will appear.

Select "Yes" using { / B but-
tons, then press ENTER but-
ton.
Finalizing will start.

To cancel finalizing, press STOP C
button.

ton.
Finalizing is cancelled, then the
unit will be in stop mode.

Note
• Once you have finalized a disc
recorded in Video mode, you
cannot edit or record any-
thing else on that disc.
A VR mode disc can still be
recorded and edited on this
unit even after finalizing.
• When you insert a DVD-RW
disc finalized with this unit,
"Undo Finalize" will appear
instead of "Finalize".

To release the finalizing of the
disc, select "Undo Finalize" at
step 3.
• If appear when pressing
STOP button, you cannot can-
cel finalizing because the final-
izing process is in progress.
When selecting "No", press
ENTER or RETURN button,
finalizing will be continued.
You cannot cancel finalizing of
a DVD-R disc when it has
started.
