Cause/Solution
• Adjust monitor brightness.
• Monitor is dirty. Clean monitor.
• If camera clock has not been set, "Date not set"
indicator flashes when shooting images and
recording movies. Images and movies saved before
clock is set are dated "00/00/0000 00:00" or "01/01/

date using Time zone and date in the setup
menu.
• Check camera clock regularly against more
accurate timepieces and reset as required.

Select Show info.
Time zone and date in the setup menu has not
been set.
• The current shooting mode is one that does not
support Print date.
• The date cannot be imprinted on movies.
Clock battery is exhausted; all settings were restored
to their default values.
The camera may become hot when recording movies
or uploading images from an Eye-Fi card for an
extended period of time, or when the camera is used
in a hot area; this is not a malfunction.
