    Radio SOURCE/ TUNE/ BAND/ POWER A.ME TEL. SEARCH F/SETUP Changing the Radio Frequencies for each Country For customers not living in North America, change the radio frequencies as follows. Press and hold F/SETUP for at least 3 seconds. Select the "AREA" mode by pressing g or f. Choose either AREA 1 or AREA 2 by pressing BAND/TEL.

    Station Title Search Function If titles for radio stations are entered, you can search for a radio station from its title. Press SEARCH in Radio mode to switch to Title Search mode. The first title input blinks in the display. Select the desired title by turning the Rotary encoder within 10 seconds.

  • Page 14 Corresponding File Systems This device supports discs formatted with ISO9660 Level 1 or Level 2. Under the ISO9660 standard, there are some restrictions to remember. The maximum nested folder depth is 8 (including the root directory). File/folder names are limited to 31 characters (including the extension), and are limited to 15 characters for WMA.

    Setting the Bass Type (CDA-9811 only) This function allows for 3 different bass type settings. Select the one that appeals to you the most. Press and hold CENTER f for at least 2 seconds to set the bass type. Press g or f within 15 seconds to select the desired type (1 through 3).

    Adjusting to a frequency range outside that recommended may cause damage to the speakers. For the recommended crossover frequencies of Alpine speakers, refer to the respective Owner's Manual. We are not responsible for damage or malfunction of speakers caused by using the crossover outside the recommended value.

    Adjusting and Storing the Crossover Settings (CDA-9815/CDA-9813 only) Before performing the following procedures, refer to “About the Crossover”(page 15). Press and hold T.CORR/X-OVER for at least 2 seconds. 2 WAY System Press BAND/TEL. to select desired parameter. LOW (Subwoofer) → REAR → FRONT → LOW (Subwoofer) Press g or f to select desired cut-off frequency point (cross over point).

    This is caused by the time delay between the sound reaching the listener’s right versus the left ear. To correct this, the CDA-9815/CDA-9813/CDA-9811 is able to delay the audio signal to the speakers closest to the listener. This effectively creates a perception of increased distance for those speakers.

    Left (front-rear) speakers Subwoofer speaker. CDA-9811 only ← Delay (turn the rotary encoder) the audio signal to the front (left and right) speakers to make the apparent position of the subwoofer to be at the front. In doing this, the apparent position between the front (left and right) speakers and subwoofer will appear equal to the driver.

    • The unit can play discs containing both audio data and MP3 data. Multi-Changer Selection (Optional) Alpine's Ai-NET system will support up to 6 CD Changers. When operating two or more changers, the KCA-400C (Multi-Changer Switching device) must be used. If you use 1 Switching device, you can connect up to 4 CD Changers.

    Press the button to call the external audio processor mode when the external audio processor is connected.* This button is used for CDA-9811 in conjunction with an optional Ai-NET processor. For the operation of external audio processor, refer to the Owner's Manual of the external audio processor you purchased.

    If the unit is still not functioning normally, please review the items in the following checklist. This guide will help you isolate the problem if the unit is at fault.
