Using such accessories can cause the disc to be out of standard specifications and may create operational problems. We recommend not using these accessories on discs played in Alpine CD players.     This is not a malfunction. Do not touch. Adjusting Volume Turn the Rotary encoder until the desired sound is obtained. Lowering Volume Quickly (CDA-9811R only) Activating the Audio Mute function will instantly lower the volume level by 20 dB. Press MUTE/B.OUT to activate the MUTE mode.

  • Page 18 Corresponding File Systems This device supports discs formatted with ISO9660 Level 1 or Level 2. Under the ISO9660 standard, there are some restrictions to remember. The maximum nested folder depth is 8 (including the root directory). File/folder names are limited to 31 characters (including the extension), and are limited to 15 characters for WMA.

    Adjusting to a frequency range outside that recommended may cause damage to the speakers. For the recommended crossover frequencies of Alpine speakers, refer to the respective Owner's Manual. We are not responsible for damage or malfunction of speakers caused by using the crossover outside the recommended value.

    • Be sure to disconnect the cable from the (–) battery post before installing your CDA-9815RB/CDA-9813R/CDA-9812RX/ CDA-9811R. This will reduce any chance of damage to the unit in case of a short-circuit. • Be sure to connect the colour coded leads according to the diagram.

    • For the screw *, provide a proper screw to the chassis installing location. Slide the CDA-9815RB/CDA-9813R/CDA-9812RX/ CDA-9811R into the dashboard. When the unit is in place, make sure the locking pins are fully seated in the down position. This can be done by pressing firmly in on the unit while pushing the locking pin down with a small screwdriver.
