Plugged orifice
Unplug the orifice as follows:
Remove grate and grease tray.
Remove the burner ring and the outer burner.
Carefully lift the center burner up and away from
the gas orifice.
Remove the orifice from the control valve.
Gently clear any obstruction with a fine wire.
Reinstall the orifice, reinstall the burners over the
orifices, and place the burner peg into position hole
at the bottom ledge of the firebox.
Replace cooking components and grease tray.
If an obstruction is suspected in the control valve, con-
tact your local Cal Flame dealer for assistance.
Burner tube is misaligned over the orifice
Reposition the burner tube so that it is properly seated
over the orifice.
Obstruction in the gas line
Remove the fuel line from Power Burner. (Do not smoke
or perform any maintenance in the vicinity of an open
flame.) Open the gas valve for one second to blow out
any debris. Close off the gas valve and reconnect the
fuel line securely.
Yellow Flame
Some yellow at the tips may be present due to impuri-
ties in the fuel. If the flame is golden or yellow in color,
the reason could be seasoning salts, oil film, or other
foreign matter on the burner.
You may also need to adjust the venturis. If you are
using propane, they should be completely open. If you
are using NG, they should be open 1/4 to 1/2 way. (See
page 16 to see location of the venturis.)
