Expression Pedal

The Expression Pedal on the GNX2 can control up to 3 parameters in real time
including the Volume,Whammy™, and Ya Ya™. When a parameter has been
assigned to the Expression Pedal, the parameter's minimum and maximum values
can also be programmed.The GNX2's Expression Pedal includes DigiTech's
exclusive V-Switch.The V-Switch allows you to switch the Expression Pedal
assignment on the fly. Applying extra pressure to the toe of the Expression
Pedal engages the V-Switch and the Expression Pedal switches between the
assigned parameter and Wah. The sensitivity or amount of pressure required to
engage the V-Switch can be adjusted to suit your personal taste (or weight of
your foot). See page 40 for the V-Switch Sensitivity adjustment procedure.
The procedure for assigning a parameter to the Expression Pedal is as follows:
1. Press the EFFECT SELECT button until the Exp Assign row has been
selected.
2. Press the STATUS button until the display reads

(Expression Pedal Link 3), depending upon which assignment you want to use
or the number of parameters you intend to assign.The display will alternate
between the Expression Pedal selection and the assigned parameter.
3. Rotate the Number 1 knob until the parameter appears in the display. See the
Expression Parameter Assignment List on page 38 for a complete list of
assignable Parameters.
4. Rotate the Number 2 knob to select the minimum value the parameter
reaches with the Expression Pedal in the toe up position (not available when
volume is the assigned parameter).
5. Rotate the Number 3 knob to select the maximum value the parameter
reaches with the Expression Pedal in the toe down position (not available
when volume is the assigned parameter).
6. Store your Expression Pedal assignment to your preset. See page 16 for more
information on the storing procedure.

LFOs

The GNX2 includes two low frequency oscillators (LFO1 and LFO2) that
can be assigned to the Expression Pedal parameters. A low frequency
oscillator automatically varies the value of the assigned parameter at a
steady rate. A minimum and maximum value can also be assigned. For
instance: if the Amp Gain was assigned to LFO1, and the minimum value
was set at 1 and the maximum value was set at 99, the GNX2 would auto-
matically sweep the amount of distortion from clean to distorted and back
to clean. Individual LFO speeds can also be assigned. In the previous exam-
ple, the LFO speed would determine the length of time it took the LFO to
sweep from the clean to the distorted sound.The procedure for assigning
the LFOs in the GNX2 is as follows:
1. Press either EFFECT SELECT button until the Exp Assign row is
selected.
2. Press the STATUS button to assign LFO1 (

3. Rotate the Number 1 knob until the Parameter is displayed. See the
Expression Parameter Assignment list on page 38 for a complete list of
assignable Parameters.
4. Rotate the Number 2 knob to select the minimum value the assigned
parameter reaches at the bottom turn around point for the LFO (not
available when volume is the assigned parameter).
5. Rotate the Number 3 knob to select the maximum value the assigned
parameter reaches at the top turn around point for the LFO (not avail-
able when volume is the assigned parameter).
6. Rotate the Number 4 knob to select the speed that the LFO oscillates
from the minimum to the maximum values. LFO speed ranges from

Pedal de expresión
El pedal de expresión del GNX2 puede controlar hasta 3 parámetros en tiempo real
incluyendo el volumen,Whammy™ y Ya Ya™. Cuando un parámetro ha sido asignado
al pedal de expresión, también puede programar los valores mínimo y máximo de
dicho parámetro. El pedal de expresión del GNX2 incluye el exclusivo V-Switch de
DigiTech. Este interruptor V-Switch permite que la asignación del pedal de expresión
sea modificada sobre la marcha. Si aplica una presión extra en la puntera del pedal se
activará el V-Switch y la función del pedal de expresión cambiará entre el parámetro
asignado y el Wah. La sensibilidad o cantidad de presión necesaria para activar este
V-Switch puede ser ajustada para adaptarla a sus gustos personales (o al peso de su
pie).Vea en la página 40 el método de ajuste de la sensibilidad del V-Switch.
El proceso de asignación de un parámetro al pedal de expresión es el siguiente:
1. Pulse el botón EFFECT SELECT hasta que haya elegido la fila Exp Assign.
2. Pulse el botón STATUS hasta que vea en pantalla

la indicación de la selección del pedal de expresión y el parámetro asignado.

la página 38 el listado de asignaciones de parámetro de expresión conocer
todos los parámetros asignables.
4. Gire el mando 2 para elegir el valor mínimo que alcanzará el parámetro cuan-
do el pedal de expresión esté en la posición de puntera arriba (esto no está
disponible cuando el parámetro asignado es el volumen).
5. Gire el mando 3 para elegir el valor máximo que alcanzará el parámetro
cuando el pedal de expresión esté en la posición de puntera abajo (esto no
está disponible cuando el parámetro asignado es el volumen).
6. Almacene su asignación de pedal en su Preset.Vea en la página 16 más infor-
mación acerca del proceso de almacenamiento.
LFOs
El GNX2 incluye dos osciladores de baja frecuencia asignables (LFO1 y LFO2)
que pueden ser asignados a los parámetros asignados al pedal de expresión. Un
oscilador de baja frecuencia hace que varÌe automáticamente el valor del
parámetro asignado a una velocidad constante.También puede asignar un valor
mínimo y máximo. Por ejemplo: Si la ganancia del amplificador ha sido asignada
al LFO1, y el valor mínimo ha sido fijado en 1 con el máximo en 99, el GNX2
hará automáticamente un barrido en la cantidad de distorsión desde un sonido
limpio a uno distorsionado y al revés.También puede asignar velocidades de
LFO individuales. En el ejemplo anterior, la velocidad del LFO determinaría el
tiempo que tardaría el sonido limpio en convertirse en uno distorsionado. El
proceso de asignación de los LFOs en el GNX2 es el siguiente:
1. Pulse el botón EFFECT SELECT hasta que haya elegido la fila Exp
Assign.
2. Pulse el botón STATUS para asignar el LFO1 (

3. Gire el mando 1 hasta que en la pantalla aparezca el parámetro que
quiera.Vea en la página 38 el listado de asignaciones de parámetro de
expresión para conocer todos los parámetro asignables.
4. Gire el mando 2 para elegir el valor mínimo que alcanzará el parámetro
asignado en el punto de giro inferior del LFO (esto no está disponible
cuando el parámetro asignado es el volumen).
5. Gire el mando 3 para elegir el valor máximo que alcanzará el parámetro
asignado en el punto de giro superior del LFO (esto no está disponible
cuando el parámetro asignado es el volumen).
6. Gire el mando 4 para elegir la velocidad de oscilación del LFO entre sus
valores mÌnimo y máximo. El rango de velocidades para el LFO va desde
