    Detachable Front Panel Detaching the Front Panel Press the PWR button to turn off the power. Press the release button until the front panel pops out. Grasp the left side of the front panel and pull it out. Note: To protect the front panel, place it in the supplied carrying case.

    Detachable Front Panel Attaching the Front Panel 1. First, insert the right side of the front panel into the main unit. Align the 2 small holes on the front panel with the 2 projections on the main unit. 2. Push the left side of the front panel until it locks firmly into the main unit.
  • Page 9: Basic Operation Initial System Start-Up

    Initial System Start-Up Immediately after installing or applying power to the unit, it should be initialized. To do this, first, remove the detachable front panel. Behind the front panel, to the right of the connector, is a small hole. Using a pencil or other pointed object, press the red reset button mounted behind this hole to complete the initialization procedure.

    With each press, N.F.P. is toggled On or Off. N.F.P. ON: In this position, the Front Pre- Output on the TDA-7548E or Rear Output on the TDA-7547E will not be affected by the fader. This is ideal for driving a subwoofer amplifier.

    TITLE TITLE BLPINE ALPINE Radio Operation Titling Stations Tune in a station to be titled. Press the TITLE button twice (once if you are already in the Clock Priority mode) to select the preset station titling mode. "--------" will flash in the display.

    D.A.P. Cassette Player Operation Dolby B NR (Noise Re- duction) (TDA-7548E only) After inserting a Dolby B NR encoded tape, press the p button. The display shows the Dolby NR mark (p). TAPE The tape noise is reduced in the Dolby NR mode when a Dolby B NR encoded tape is played.

    Clock Operation Operation Activating Equalizer or Divider (optional) (TDA- 7548E only) If an optional Alpine Equalizer or Divider is Ai-NET connected to the unit, you can operate the Equalizer or Divider from the Remote Controller RUE-4180 (supplied with TDA-7548E). Press the A.PROC button repeatedly to select the desired equalizer mode or the Divider mode.

Note: Selecting any tuner, tape or CD function while in the clock mode will 12:00 interrupt the time display momentarily. The function selected will be displayed for about 5 seconds before the time returns to the display.
