Remove the spark plug and pour three tablespoonful
of clean motor oil into the cylin-
der. Pull the starter rope slowly two or three times to distribute the oil. Reinstall the
spark plug.
Pull the starter grip until resistance
is felt. This closes the valves and protects them
from dust and corrosion.
