Choose New to define a new expression. The Build Expression dialog opens. Enter a name
for the expression tag, and select the attribute upon which you wish to filter.
The Expression text window allows you to specify the logic that your filter will apply. In the
example below, the filter will match attributes that have a Season attribute that does NOT
have the value of "summer." This expression might be used to suppress content labeled
"summer" in order to print a winter version of a catalog. Click OK when you are finished
defining an expression tag.
To apply an attribute-based filter, use the Manage Attribute Expressions dialog. Select the
expression you wish to apply to the current document and click Apply.
When a structured document is saved to XML, all document content (filtered and unfil-
tered) is saved. Filter expressions are also saved.
