Installing Devices in the New Mass Storage Module
Follow these steps to install the mass storage devices in the new mass storage module. Figure 4 shows
the cabling scheme for the new mass storage module.
1.
Remove the mass storage devices from the old mass storage module.
2.
Install the mass storage devices into the new mass storage module. Refer to the Mass Storage
Module Configuration Guidelines for the configurations of mass storage devices allowed.

CAUTION: The new mass storage module has a power cable, single–ended SCSI

cable and a fast wide SCSI cable. Be sure that the cables are secured to
their connectors on the drives and not pinched or pulled too tight before
installing the mass storage module back into the chassis.
