assembly(referto Figure36). Discardold frictionwheel.

Slidethe spacerontothe end of the hex shaft.
Align the bearingon the rightend of thehex shaftwith the hole
in the rightside of the frame,then pushthe hexshaftto the left
intopositionin the frame.
14. Slidethe bearingontothe left end of the hex shaftand press into
the hole on theleft sidethe frame.
15. Placethe bellevillewasher(roundedside towardhead)ontothe
hexscrewremovedearlier,and insert thescrewinto thethreaded
holeof the hex shaft.
16. Graduallytightenthe hexscrewto fully seat the bearingsin each
sideof the frameand to securethe hex shaft.
17. Positionthe framecoveron the bottomof the frameand secure
with the self-tappingscrews.Pivotthe snowthrowerdownto it
normaloperatingposition.

8. Reassemble the newfrictionwheelontothe hub assembly,
tighteningthe fourscrewsin rotationand with equal force.It is
importantto assemblethefrictionwheelsymmetricallyfor proper
functioning.
9. Repositionthe frictionwheelassemblyin the snowthrowerframe.
Insertthe pin from the speedselector armassemblyintothe
frictionwheelassemblyand hold assemblyin position.Referto

10. Slide thehex shaftthroughthe rightsideof the frametowardthe
left sideand throughthe frictionwheelassembly.
11. After makingcertain that the chainis on boththe largeand the
smallsprocket,align the hexshaftwith the hexhub of the small
sprocket,and slidethe shaftthroughthe sprocket.
NOTE:If the sprocketfellfrom the snowthrowerwhile removing the
hexshaft, placethe sprocketon thechain. Realignthe sprocketon the
chainwith the hexhub facingthe rightsideof unit. Positionthe hex
hub of the sprockettowardthe frictionwheelwhen slidingthe sprocket
on to the hex shaft.
