FM
Radio Data System (RDS) is a broadcasting service that
allows stations to send additional information along with
the regular radio program signal.
RDS works on the FM waveband in Europe only.

Tune in to an FM RDS station (page 28).

Press the DISPLAY button.
Each time the DISPLAY button is pressed, the RDS
mode is changed as follows:
PS (Program Service)
PTY (Program Type)
Frequency

RDS (Radio Data System)
PS (Program Service)
This displays the programme service name or station's
name.
PTY (Program Type)
This displays the description of the type of music broadcast
by the radio station such as Pop, Rock or Classical music.
If there is no PTY data, "PROGTYPE" is displayed.
Frequency
This displays the channel and frequency of the currently
playing broadcast.
