CD-ROM Menu
The following settings and services are available using the CD-ROM:
❖ Install Software
Installs drivers and utilities.
❖ Remove Software
Removes installed drivers and utilities.
❖ Documentation
Displays a list of the documentation on this CD-ROM.
❖ Software Release Notes
Provides the release notes for the software available on this CD-ROM.
❖ Select Language
Changes the language of the menu and the installed software.
Drivers for This Machine
Operations require installing drivers appropriate to your operating system.
The following drivers are included on the CD-ROM provided with this machine.
❖ PCL 5/6 printer driver
This printer driver allows the computer to communicate with the printer via
a printer language.
❖ PS printer driver
PS printer driver allows the computer to communicate with the printer using
a printer language.
❖ Scanner driver
To use the machine as a TWAIN or WIA scanner, you must install the scanner
driver.
❖ Fax driver
The fax driver allows you to send a document directly from a computer
through the machine to another fax machine, without printing the document.

    ❖ Custom Mode Installs the PCL 5 printer, PCL 6 printer, PS printer, fax or scanner driver when the machine is connected to your computer by a USB or network cable. Installs KMnet Viewer when the machine is connected to your computer by a network cable.

    On the “Printer Settings” page, you can assign a name to the printing sys- tem. This is the name that appears in Windows “Printers and Faxes” and in the printer list in applications. If this machine is connected locally, “Printer Settings” does not appear for a first time installation.
