Conditions

The LCD turns off immediately after using the fl ash while it
recharges.
The LCD may turn off immediately after setting to recording
mode while it recharges.
Have you set [AUTO LCD OFF]?
This phenomenon appears when pressing the shutter button
halfway to set the aperture value and does not affect the
recorded pictures.
The LCD monitor may fl icker for a few seconds after turning
the camera on indoors under fl uorescent light.
This is not a malfunction.
Adjust the brightness of the LCD monitor.
Is the power LCD or the high angle mode activated?
This is not a malfunction.
These pixels do not affect the recorded pictures.
In dark places, noise may appear to maintain the brightness
of the LCD monitor. This does not affect the pictures you are
recording.
Is the fl ash setting set to Forced OFF [
Change the fl ash setting.
The fl ash is not activated when motion picture mode [
[SCENERY], [NATURE], [ARCHITECTURE], [CREATIVE
SCENERY], [NIGHT SCENERY], [ILLUMINATIONS],
[CREATIVE NIGHT SCENERY], [SUNSET], [HI-SPEED
BURST], [STARRY SKY], [FIREWORKS], [AERIAL PHOTO]
mode, burst or auto bracket mode is selected.
When you select red-eye reduction
activated once before the actual recording to reduce the red-
eye phenomenon (eyes of the subject appearing red in the
picture) and then activated again for the actual recording.
