    20 Getting Started 1.2 Installing the USIM/SIM Card, Battery, and Storage Card Always turn off your device before installing or removing the USIM/SIM card or battery. The USIM/SIM card contains your phone number, service details, and phonebook/message memory. Your device supports both 1.8V and 3V SIM cards.

Slide the back cover upward as shown in the following illustration. To install the USIM/SIM card Use your thumb or finger to pry open the cover that houses the SIM card slot.
  • Page 22 22 Getting Started To install the battery Install the battery by inserting it with its exposed copper part aligned with the protruding copper conductor on the lower-left side of the battery compartment. Insert the bottom side of the battery first, then gently push the battery into place.

Turn your device on and off To turn on the power Press and hold the POWER button for a few seconds. When you turn on your device for the first time, a Quick Start Wizard will guide you through the calibration process and the setup of regional settings, date and time, and password.
