Enterasys GPIM-02 Reference Sheet

The GPIM-02 Gigabit Ethernet Port Interface Module is an RJ45 interface device that can be installed into an
Enterasys Networks device that supports Enterasys Networks Gigabit Ethernet Port Interface Modules.
Note: Check the documentation of your host device to see if it will support the GPIM-02.
In order for 2nd/3rd Generation SmartSwitch/Matrix products to recognize that a GPIM-02 is installed, the host device
should have one of the following firmware versions installed:
• For firmware in the 5.x track, version 5.05.05 or higher must be used.
• For firmware in the 4.x track, version 4.08.52 or higher must be used.
The GPIM-02 supports only 1000Mb/s; 10Mb/s and 100Mb/s speeds are not supported.
The Vertical Horizon series of products does not support the GPIM-02.

Installation
