After using the camcorder for a long time, it becomes hot.
- The camcorder may become hot after using it continuously for long periods of time; this is not a
malfunction. If the camcorder becomes unusually hot or it becomes hot after using it only for a
short while, it may indicate a problem with the camcorder. Consult a Canon Service Center.
Playback
Cannot add scenes to the playlist.
- The playlist can contain a maximum of 999 scenes. If the playlist includes scenes recorded in
MXP or FXP mode, the maximum number of scenes in the playlist may be less than 999.
- You may not be able to add to the playlist scenes recorded or edited using another device.
- The memory is full. Delete some recordings (0 54, 102) or initialize the memory (0 37) to
free some space.
Cannot move scenes in the playlist.
- The memory is full. Delete some recordings (0 54, 102) or initialize the memory (0 37) to
free some space.
Cannot delete a scene.
- You may not be able to delete scenes recorded or edited using another device.
Deleting scenes takes longer than usual.
- When the memory contains a large number of scenes, some operations may take longer than
usual. Save your recordings (0 129) and initialize the memory (0 37).
Cannot delete a photo.
- The photo is protected. Remove the protection (0 114).
Cannot capture a video snapshot scene from a movie.
- You cannot capture video snapshot scenes from scenes recorded or edited using another
device.
- The memory is full. Delete some recordings (0 54, 102) or initialize the memory (0 37) to
free some space.
When playing back scenes/slideshow with background music, the music track is not played
back correctly.
- This can occur when you transfer music files from the supplied Camcorder Supplemental Disc
to a memory after repeatedly recording and deleting scenes (fragmented memory). Save your
recordings (0 129) and initialize the memory (0 37). Then, transfer first the music files
from the supplied Camcorder Supplemental Disc and only then write back to the memory
recordings made with this camcorder that were previously saved on the computer.
- Music tracks will not play back correctly if the connection was interrupted while transferring
the music files from the Camcorder Supplemental Disc. Delete the music tracks and transfer
the music files again.
- The transfer rate of the memory card used is too slow. Use a recommended memory card
(0 33).
