Network part
Symptom
The "KENWOOD PC SERVER" application
cannot be installed on the PC or it does not
run.
DVF-N7080 is not detected by the own PC.
Use inside a firewall is not possible.
There are no problems with the network con-
nection, but playback is interrupted or stops.
The files of MOVIE, MUSIC, PHOTO are not
shown.
No sound with playback of movie files.
Some buttons are not displayed by the
KENWOOD PC SERVER application.

JPEG files on memory cards or discs are not
shown.

Cause
÷ The OS of the PC is not compatible with the
application.
÷ The PC server does not see DVF-N7080.
÷ Use inside a firewall may not be possible.
÷ The network is busy.
÷ In case of a wireless connection it is possible
that the transfer rate drops because of inter-
ference from other equipment.
÷ The settings for the "KENWOOD PC
SERVER" application are not correct.
÷ The files have not been saved after import to
"KENWOOD PC SERVER".
÷ A not compatible audio format is used.
÷ The display resolution setting is low.
Cause
÷ The max. resolution has been exceeded.
÷ The max. file size has been exceeded.
÷ The file extension is not ".JPG" or ".JPEG".
÷ The file name contains characters or symbols
other than alphanumerics.
In case of difficulty
DVF-N7080 (EN/E,X)
Solution
÷ Install an OS compatible with the applica-
tion.
÷ This is not a malfunction.
÷ Switch off the firewall.
÷ Check by stopping the other equipment
connected to the network.
÷ Switch off microwave ovens and other
equipment generating electromagnetic
waves and check again.
÷ Confirm the settings of the "KENWOOD PC
SERVER" application.
÷ Press SAVE of the "KENWOOD PC SERVER"
application and read-in the settings again.
÷ Use movie files with a compatible audio
format.
÷ Increase the display resolution.
Solution
÷ Lower the resolution to the max. resolution
or lower.
÷ Lower the file size to the max. file size or
lower.
÷ Resave as a JPEG file (extension: ".JPG" or
".JPEG").
÷ Use only alphanumerics "A - Z", "0 - 9" and
"_" (under score) for the file name.
