Closed defect summary
During a stress test with switchdisable/switchenable of all
switches in a fabric, we observed both verify failure and a switch
panic in the RTE module.
A small timing window exists due to a corner case where, if a device
sends PLOGI before the route is set up, it could cause PLOGI to drop
in single switch fabric. This is caused by race condition where PLOGI
is transmitted prior to the name server query, when the internal route
has not yet been established for the WWN zoning pair.
Authentication fails after 15 minutes if external authentication, such
as LDAP or Radius server, is configured. The user is not able to login
using Web Tools or web page. Invalid password is reported. This issue
does not occur when the CLI is used.
I/O cannot resume when jamming the status frame with IDLE with QoS
enabled. Link reset does not load the buffers correctly and I/O can
be disrupted
A Common Area Loader Daemon (CALD) memory leak occurs while
running management applications using the SMI interface. This causes
a switch panic/restart and fabric disruption.
The following SNMP-related issues exist in code:
The cpLastEvent value is shown incorrectly in the browser.
The cpStatusChange trap is not sent to the trap recipients.
There is an incompatibility with client using older MIBs (pre-Fabric
OS 6.2.0 MIB).
The swEndDeviceInvalidWord mid command returns bad
words.
SNMP displays incorrect index value for atTable, ipTable,
and ipNetTodefia Table of MIB-2.
MIB fails to compile on third-party SAN Management software
(swPmgrEventType).
After upgrade to Fabric OS 6.2.0, Fabric Watch reports HP Storage-
Works 4/8, 4/16 SAN switches, and embedded 4-Gb switches as
unhealthy and issues a warning message that compact flash is 90%
full.
A bad SFP triggered an i2C access causing the following problems
on the port/slot display and CPU load on HP StorageWorks 4/256
SAN director:
Executing a slotshow command causes a no system control
access to slot error.
The sfpshow command gives Mod_val, or an i2C access mes-
sage.
Port statemismatch occurs on internal ports of 4-Gb embedded
switches between switchshow and portcfgshow. The portcfg-
show command shows a persistent disable state while the port
is enabled.
