- Page 2 The reset switch/button is located on the front of the operator and serves several functions. MODEL RSL12V SLIDE GATE OPERATOR Model RSL12V has a reset switch. When referring to “toggling” the reset switch it means pressing the reset switch to the RESET/DISCONNECT position, then back to the NORMAL OPERATION position.

OPERATION OPERATOR ALARM If a contact sensor detects an obstruction twice consecutively the alarm will sound (up to 5 minutes) and the operator will need to be reset. When the inherent force of the operator (RPM/current sensor) detects the following (twice consecutively) the alarm will sound (up to 5 minutes) and the operator will need to be reset: The gate is hitting a wall or... - Page 4 Replace BATTERY The battery should be replaced every three years. Use only LiftMaster part 29-NP712 for replacement batteries. The operator comes with one 7AH battery. A second 7AH (29-NP712) battery may be added or one 33AH (A12330SGLPK) may be used in place of the 7AH batteries. The batteries contain lead and need to be disposed of properly.
