Once you have the right printer cable, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the printer and computer are turned off.
2. Place the printer next to the computer with their backs facing
you.
3. One end of the printer cable has a 25-pin, D-shell connector.
Position the plug to line up with the parallel interface
(marked with the icon shown below). Then plug the
connector into the port, as shown. If the plug has retaining
screws, tighten them by hand or with a screwdriver.
