3.4.4 Using the zoom function
The camera is equipped with a 3x o
Digital zoom. The zoom function will work in Photo mod
and Video mode. When in Video mode, the zoom must
be set before you start recording as the zoom cannot be
adjusted during the recording.

ress the right side of the zoom button to zoom in on a
subject (get closer to it). Press the left side of the zoom
button to zoom out from the subject (move away from it).
T
he zoom status is indicated by the zoom bar on the right
of the screen. The line in the zoom bar indicates the point
where the optical zoom stops and the digital zoom begins.
When the optical zoom reaches the end
of its range, the digital zoom takes over.
You must take your finger off the zoom
button and press it again to start using
the digital zoom.
3. 5 Capture mode and self timer function

The DXG-528 has three capture modes, single sho
and self timer. Single shot mode captures a single picture every
time the shutter button is pressed. Multi shot mode captures three
pictures every time the shutter button is pressed.

he self timer function enables you to take pictures of yourself
by adding a delay between the moment the shutter button is
pressed and the moment the picture is actually captured.
