Replacing the ac power adapter

Attention
Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and

This section provides instructions on how to replace the ac power adapter.
To replace the ac power adapter, do the following:
1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the
computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and
disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Disconnect the ac power adapter from the ac power adapter connector on the
rear of your computer. See "Locating connectors on the rear of your computer"
on page 8.
4. Connect the new ac power adapter to the ac power adapter connector on the
chassis and an workable electrical outlet.
