4. BIOS SETUP

4.5.1 Power Up Control

AC PWR Loss Restart [Disabled]
This allows you to set whether you want your system to reboot after the power has
been interrupted. [Disabled] leaves your system off and [Enabled] reboots your sys-
tem. [Previous State] sets your system back to the state it is before the power inter-
ruption. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled] [Previous State]
PWR Up On External Modem Act [Enabled]
This allows either settings of [Enabled] or [Disabled] for powering up the computer
when the external modem receives a call while the computer is in Soft-off mode.
NOTE: The computer cannot receive or transmit data until the computer and appli-
cations are fully running. Thus connection cannot be made on the first try. Turning
an external modem off and then back on while the computer is off causes an initial-
ization string that will also cause the system to power on. Configuration options:
[Disabled] [Enabled]
Wake On LAN or PCI Modem [Disabled]
Wake-On-LAN/PCI Modem allows your computer to be booted from another com-
puter via a network by sending a wake-up frame or signal. Configuration options:
[Disabled] [Enabled]
IMPORTANT:
This feature requires an optional network interface card with Wake-
On-LAN and an ATX power supply with at least 720mA +5V standby power.
