Troubleshooting

If you experience a problem with your Trip computer, consult this guide for
troubleshooting and solutions. Your local Bontrager Dealer can also assist you.
Symptom
Display is blank
Data is erratic
Current speed is missing
Cadence is missing (Trip 3 only)
Speed is incorrect
Possible Causes
Battery is low, not installed, or installed incorrectly
Magnet misaligned with—or too far away from—sensor
Battery is low, not installed, or installed incorrectly
Magnet misaligned with—or too far away from—sensor
Wireless sensor battery is low (Trip 5W only)
Magnet misaligned with—or too far away from—sensor
Wheel size is incorrect
Magnet misaligned with—or too far away from—sensor
Solution
Reinstall new battery
Readjust magnet and sensor placement
Replace battery
Readjust magnet and sensor placement
Replace battery battery in sensor
Readjust magnet and sensor placement
Reset wheel size
Readjust magnet and sensor placement
