Name
ncl_control - Start, stop, or restart Novell* Client* for Linux-specific daemon modules.
Syntax
ncl_control [start | stop | restart | status | help]
Description
Ncl_control stops, starts, and restarts the client-specific daemon modules. It can be used to
troubleshoot whether the client has been installed correctly or it can be useful if you receive errors.
You must be logged in as root to run this utility.
Options
start
Loads all Novell Client for Linux-specific daemon modules.
stop
Stops all Novell Client for Linux-specific daemon modules.
restart
Stops and then reloads all Novell Client for Linux-specific daemon modules.
status
Verifies that the Novell Client for Linux-specific daemon modules are running. This is useful
for troubleshooting issues with the Novell Client. If the Novell Client is running correctly, the
status is returned as 0 with a message stating that the daemon is running.
If the Novell Client is not running correctly, you receive a status other than 0 and a message
stating the issues.
-h, --help
Displays help for ncl_control.
