Attaching the Lens / Detaching the Lens (continued) Attaching the Lens Attention z Before attaching the Projection Lens, remove the lens hole cover (only lens options models) and the two lens covers attached to the Projection Lens. The illustrations in this procedure depict use of the PT-RZ970 series as an example.

Attaching the Lens / Detaching the Lens (continued) (i) Insert the tab on the lens Slot position Lens cover tab mount cover through the slot on the projector, and (ii) turn clockwise to secure lens mount cover. Attention z After attaching the projection lens, turn on the projector and perform lens calibration. Detaching the Lens The illustrations in this procedure depict use of the PT-RZ970 series as an example.
Page 7
Attaching the Lens / Detaching the Lens (continued) Focus Adjustment The focus balance of the center of the projected image and that of the peripheral areas differs depending on the size of the image. This lens is equipped with a function for adjusting the peripheral focus balance. ■...

Projection relationships The dimensional relationship between the screen and the projector is shown below. ■ Dimensional relationship diagram Projected image L (LW/LT) Screen L (LW/LT) Note z This diagram assumes that the size and position of the projected image will be adjusted so that the image fills the entire screen.
Page 9
Projection relationships (continued) Attention z To prevent obstruction of the intake and exhaust vents, install the projector with a clearance at least 500 mm (1 ft. 7 in.) from walls and objects. If you are installing the projector in a sealed space, be sure to provide additional air conditioning equipment and ventilation equipment.

Lens shift ranges If you perform lens calibration after attaching the projection lens, the projection lens moves to the home position after calibration is complete. Using the position of the projected image at the home position (i.e., the standard projection position) as a basis, you can use the lens shift adjustment function on the projector to adjust the position of the projected image within the respective lens shift ranges.

Appendix / Annexe / 付録 (continued / suite / つづき) Note z A ±5 % error in listed projection distances may occur. In addition, when [KEYSTONE] is used, distance is corrected to become smaller than the specified screen size. z The throw ratio is based on the value during projection with the projected image size of 3.81 m (150"). Remarque z Une erreur de ±5 % dans des distances de projection énumérées peut se produire.
