HOW TO USE THE SLEEPCARRIER® WITH THE HARNESS

Follow the steps below, for pictures see the last page of this user manual.

  1. Locate and open the zipper on the side.

  2. Pull out the harness from the opened zipper.

  3. Place the harness across your back and on the top of your left shoulder.

  4. Buckle the big buckle on the front. Pull the elastic safety loop on top of the buckle.

  5. Buckle the smaller buckle located near your body on the left side.

  6. Adjust the fit according to your preferences.

CARRY COT

  • When the SleepCarrier® is used as a carry cot the short ends should be up and secured with the cord locks. The cords must be tightened, to the maximum, to avoid any risk of the baby rolling out of the carrier.
  • Fasten both handles with the handle strap while lifting.

BABYNEST

  • When co-sleeping, place the SleepCarrier® high up by the pillows of the adults.
  • Take precaution so that the baby's face is never covered.

PLAY MAT

  • When the SleepCarrier® is used as a play mat the short ends should be completely extended creating a flat surface for the child.
  • Do not lift the SleepCarrier® when the child is lying on the SleepCarrier® with extended short ends.

WASHING

Remove the stabilizing board before washing.

  • Dry flat.
  • Wash separately.
  • Wash in a laundry bag.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Use only on a firm, horizontal and dry surface.
  • Only use spare parts supplied or approved by Najell AB.
  • Be aware of the risks with open fire and other sources of direct heat such as radiators, gas flames etcetera in direct contact to the SleepCarrier®.
  • The handles and the bottom should be inspected regularly for signs of damage and wear.
  • Follow the assembly and user instruction in this manual for a correct and safe use of the SleepCarrier®.
  • Always use the stabilizing board in the bottom except for when it is being washed.
  • Do not place more than one child in the SleepCarrier® at the same time.
  • You are responsible for your child's safety.
  • Never leave children that can crawl or roll over unattended.
  • Always use the SleepCarrier® on a flat surface with safe distance from height differences such as the edge of a bed.
  • Note that the head of the child in the carry cot should never be lower than the body of the child.
  • The SleepCarrier® has a mattress in bottom, do not use an extra mattress on top of the existing mattress.
  • The SleepCarrier® is intended for a child from 0 months age.
  • Maximum weight of the child for which the SleepCarrier® is intended for is 9 kg.
  • Monitor your child when using the SleepCarrier® so that the baby is securely placed at all times.
  • For low birth-weight babies and children with medical conditions, seek advice from a health professional.
  • Stop using the carrier if parts are missing or damaged.
  • When used with the harness fasten and adjust the harness properly to prevent the child falling out.
  • Only use the SleepCarrier® carrying on the front of your body.
  • Make sure that the baby has sufficient space for breathing in the SleepCarrier®.
  • Check that all buckles are securely fastened before using the SleepCarrier®.
  • Fasten both handles with the handle strap while lifting.

WARNING

  • This product is suitable only for a child who cannot sit up unaided, roll over and cannot push itself up on its hands and knees. Maximum weight of the child: 9 kg.
  • Do not use if any part of the carry cot is broken, torn or missing.
  • Do not leave the flexible carrying handles inside the carry cot.
  • Do not leave your child unattended in the SleepCarrier®.
  • Never use this product on a stand.
  • Only use on a firm, horizontal level and dry surface.
  • Do not let other children play unattended near the carry cot.
  • When used as a carry cot, the cords must be tightened, to the maximum and the handle strap fastened, to avoid any risk of the baby rolling out of the carrier.
  • Your balance may be adversely affected by your movement and that of your child.
  • Take care when bending or leaning forward or sideways.
  • The SleepCarrier® is not suitable for use during sporting activities.
  • The SleepCarrier® has to be used by adults only.
  • Use the SleepCarrier® only when walking, sitting or standing.
  • Do not use the SleepCarrier® as a car seat.
  • Avoid dressing your child too warmly.
  • Never lie down with your child in the SleepCarrier® while in use with the harness.
  • Remember to bend at the knees NOT the waist when carrying with the harness.
