Online Certificate Status Protocol Interface

Function: Serves the OCSP requests to the Online Certificate Status Manager
The Online Certificate Status Protocol interface provides a means to query the
Online Certificate Status Manager about the status of a certificate. The OCSP
responder (the Online Certificate Status Manager) sends the request directly to the
OCSP interface. The server returns the response directly to the client without using
a template.
The OCSP interface does not have a user interface. It uses the URL
http://<hostname>:<end_entity_port>/ocsp

Default Forms

The OCSP interface does not use forms.

Request Parameters

The OCSP interface does not have request parameters. The format of the OCSP
request and response is sent in HTTP POST data, as described in the RFC 2560 (see
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2560.txt

Response

The OCSP interface response indicates the current status of the certificate as
determined by the OCSP responder. The response is sent with MIME Type
application/<ocsp-response>
Good or Verified—indicates a positive response to the query.
Revoked—indicates the certificate has been revoked.
