  • Carefully read these instructions before using your appliance for the first time and keep it for future enquires.
  • This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been received supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety and understand the possible risk of this appliance.
  • This appliance must not be used by children. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children.
  • Keep all plastic bags and packaging components out of the reach of children. They are potentially dangerous.
  • Do not connect to the mains without checking that the voltage on the rating plate and that of your household are the same.

    Do not immerse the food slicer in water.
  • warningATTENTION: The blade is very sharp. Manipulate it very carefully. After using always set the cutting guide to the minimum.
  • Use always the guard (12) the sliding carriage shield (6) and the shield-pusher (7) placed in its place, only avoid it in case the size or shape of the food does not allow it is in use.
  • Always disconnect it from the mains when you do not use it and before assembling / disassembling or when cleaning.
  • Don't allow children play with the appliance. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
  • This appliance has been designed for its intermittent use. It must not be used uninterruptedly for periods of over 5 minutes. After the said period allow the appliance to cool.
  • This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.
  • The cleaning and maintenance done by users, can not be done by children without any supervision.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by its after-sales service or similar qualified personnel in order to avoid a danger.

INTRUCTIONS OF USE

  • Put the foldable platform (5) in horizontal position.
  • Pass the cable cord through the hole in the base, so that the slicer is completely flat.
  • Fit, pushing the guard (12) into the sliding carriage shield (6). (Fig. A)
  • Situate the sliding carriage shield (6) in the platform (5). To do so, fit the two flanges situated in the lower side of the carriage into the platform cavities and turn it as showed in the Figure B. Slide it towards and backwards to leave it correctly fixed.
  • To remove the carriage slide it totally backwards, then turn it outwards.
  • Adjust the thickness required with the thickness regulator (4). The thickness indicator (3) may be used as a guide.
  • Place the slice-collector tray (11) on the left of the food slicer.
  • Place the food the food on the sliding carriage (6) and use the shield-pusher group (7) to press it slightly on to the cutting guide (9).
  • Plug the appliance into the mains.
  • To start working the appliance first press the safety button (2) with the thumb of your left hand and then push 1-I button (1) with your index finger.
  • While the food slicer is working, move the sliding carriage shield forwards and backwards.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  • Before you proceed to cleaning the appliance make sure the item is unplugged from the mains.
  • The slice-collector tray (11), the shield-pusher group (7) and the platform (5) may be cleaned with soap and water. Never use the dishwasher.
  • The platform can be removed from the body of the food slicer for cleaning. Fold the platform and extract it moving from the lower left side.
  • To put it back firstly fit it from the right side and then press from the left side.
  • The blade (8) and the carriage (6), can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
  • From time to time it is convenient to remove the blade for a more through cleaning. To do so, turn the axle of the blade (10) to the right about 90º and take it out with care. To put back in place, make the flanges of the axle coincide and turn to the left.
  • Do not use abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers, etc. which may deteriorate the surfaces of the appliance.
