GENERATOR SAFETY
Never operate in enclosed space
Avoid operating the generator indoors to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
Never connect to home circuit
Do not connect the generator directly to your home electrical system.
Do not operate in wet conditions
Do not use the generator in rain or wet conditions to avoid electrical hazards.
Keep flammables away
Keep flammable materials at least one meter away from the running generator.
PRE-OPERATING INSPECTION
Engine Oil Level Check
Check and maintain the engine oil level before operation.
STARTING THE GENERATOR
Remove loads from AC socket
Disconnect all connected appliances from the AC socket before starting.
Switch off AC breaker
Ensure the AC breaker is in the OFF position before starting the generator.
Turn on fuel cock
Open the fuel cock to supply fuel to the engine.
Set choke lever to OFF
Position the choke lever to OFF for starting, unless the engine is hot.
SERVICE GUIDELINES
Connect generator to earth
Ground the generator to prevent electrical hazards and misuse.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
Switch off AC breaker
Turn the AC breaker to the OFF position to stop power output.
Turn ignition switch to OFF
Set the ignition switch to the OFF position to stop the engine.
Set fuel cock to off
Close the fuel cock to stop fuel flow to the engine.
STORAGE PROCEDURES
Empty fuel tank
Drain all fuel from the fuel tank for long-term storage.
Clean fuel filter cup
Clean and reinstall the fuel filter cup and gauze.
Discharge carburetor fuel
Drain the fuel from the carburetor.
Empty engine oil
Remove oil filler cap and drain plug to empty engine oil.
