Disassembly and Reassembly Chromebook Plus
Initial Power Off
Ensure the system is powered off before disassembly by pressing the power button for 8 seconds.
External Media Removal
Remove any inserted uSD card and S-Pen from the device.
Rear Case Preparation
Remove the four rubber feet from the rear case and then remove the four screws underneath them.
Rear Case Disassembly
Use a jig to carefully disassemble the rear case.
Battery and Screw Removal
Disconnect the battery cable and remove six screws before removing the battery pack.
Internal Cable Disconnection
Disconnect all internal cables, including Keyboard, Touchpad, and FFCs, from the main and sub boards.
Board and Bracket Removal
Remove side brackets, main board, and sub board, paying attention to audio jack and Type-C connectors.
Component Removal
Remove speakers, touchpad FFC, WLAN FFC, WLAN PBA, and antennas.
Touchpad Module Removal
Release the three screws securing the touchpad and slide the touchpad module upwards.
Reassembly Instructions
Follow Reverse Sequence
Reassemble the Chromebook Plus by following the disassembly sequence in reverse, from step 13 down to step 2.
