Introduction
ADA Guidelines for Pool Lift Placement
Pool Lift Location
Pool lifts shall be located where the water level does not exceed 48 inches (1220 mm).
Seat Location
Centerline of seat shall be over the deck, 16 inches minimum from pool edge with a slope not steeper than 1:48.
Clear Deck Space
36 inches wide minimum, extending 48 inches from a line 12 inches behind the seat.
Submerged Depth
Seat must submerge to 18 inches minimum below water level, with 48 inches water depth clearance.
24 Volt Battery Systems with Controls
Battery System Components
Lifts feature a sealed 24-volt rechargeable battery, charging unit, and hand-held controller.
Unit Operation
Operated by 2-button controls. Low battery indicator tone signals need for recharge.
Battery Recharging Process
Remove battery, place on charger. Charge light illuminates during charging and turns off when full.
Superior / Proformance Series Pool Lift Operating Instructions
Pre-Use Test Run
Perform a test run with the lift empty. Ensure arm lifts are up and seatbelt is unbuckled.
Entering the Seat
Buckle seatbelt snugly, lower arm rails, and ensure the pathway is clear before operation.
Lowering and Raising
Use the down arrow to lower, stopping as needed. Complete full cycle to the top for safe pool exit.
Exiting the Pool
Unbuckle seatbelt, raise armrest, slide off seat. Lower seat sufficiently for easy re-entry.
Raising to Deck
Press the up arrow continuously until the lift stops at the top. Unbuckle seatbelt and exit.
Maintenance Schedule
Daily Checks
Check/charge battery, test operation, inspect lift, clean lift/seat, cover/store lift.
Weekly Checks
Review the daily maintenance checklist.
Monthly Checks
Inspect connections, frame, seat; clean battery connections and metallic surfaces.
Troubleshooting Guide
Lift Not Raising or Lowering
Check battery connection, hand controls, loose wires, and connection cable for damage.
Lift Stuck Over Water
Use the orange emergency return button. Recheck battery and controls if issue persists.

Lifetime on frame metal, 5-year structural for Superior Series. Actuator/controls warranty varies by year.
