    Avoid any drafts that alter burner flame patterns. Ceiling fans can create drafts that alter burner flame patterns. Altered burner patterns can cause sooting. CGCFTN WARNING: Do not use a blower insert, heat exchanger insert, or other accessory not approved for use with this fireplace.

When ventilating to an adjoining unconfined space, you must pro- vide two permanent openings: one within 12" of the ceiling and one within 12" of the floor on the wall connecting the two spaces (see options 1 and 2, Figure 5).

  • Page 11 INSTALLATION Continued ASSEMBLING BRASS TRIM (Brass trim shipped with mantel) 1. Remove packaging from three remain- ing pieces of brass trim. 2. Locate two adjusting plates with set screws, and two shims in the hardware packet. 3. Align shim under adjusting plate as shown in Figure 15.

    Correct all leaks at once. Reconnect heater and equipment shutoff valve to gas supply. Check re- connected fittings for leaks. CGCFTN Test Pressures Equal To or Less Than 1/2 PSIG (3.5 kPa) Close equipment shutoff valve (see Figure 26).
