It contains important instructions that should be followed during operation and maintenance.     PREPARATION FOR STARTING 4.1 Installation of exhaust pipe In case the genset must be run indoors, the engine exhaust gas must be drained to outdoor with proper exhaust pipe. Do remove the cover on the exhuast side with spanner. Insert the exhuast pipe to the exhuast port. Enwind the silver paper or other thermal insulation material in the connection.

    NOTICE STAGER YDE series generator set are equipped with low oil warning system. This system will stop the engine automatically when the oil level falls below the lower level. This prevents accidents such as bearing seizures, etc.

  • Page 14: Service The Air Filter

    4.4 Service the air filter Remove the inspection cover and take out the air filter element from the air filter housing. Blow the element with dry and clean compressed air and clean the air filter housing as well. Replace the element if it’s blocked or damaged. Install the element and air filter housing back after cleaning.
  • Page 15 Check for the fuel leakage. If the fuel is leaked, inspect the engine and repair it. Check all bolts, nuts of important parts, such as air filter, muffler and charging generator. Tighten the loose bolts or nuts securely. Check the wiring and tighten the loose wiring. Make sure there’s no tools or rags inside genset frame or canopy.

    START THE GENERATOR SET WARNING Do not hook up tools or other apparatus to the generating set before starting. • Screw the cylinder head bolts tightly to prevent rainwater or dust away from engine.     Never refill the fuel tank while the engine is running. • 6.3 Break-in period The first 20 hours running is the break-in period of the engine. Please follow up below instructions: Warm up the engine 5mins before the initial starting. Run the engine at zero load the engine is warmed.

    7.2 Single output from three phase genset Do apply single phase output from receptacle only! The single receptacle output must be ≤20% of genset rated power. In case single phase and three phase output simultaneously: total current output both of single phase and three phase must be less than rated current of genset.

    STOP THE GENERATOR SET 8.1 Normal shutdown Disconnect the load from the generating set and shut down the load. Turn the main circuit breaker of genset to “OFF”. Run the genset at zero load for 5 minutes. Turn the start key to “OFF” position or press the “STOP” botton on the control panel to stop the genset.

    9.4 Replace the air filter element Replace interval Every 6 months or 500 hours If the genset is used in dusty area, the air filter element should be replaced frequently and the air filter cover must be cleaned at same time. Dirty air filter element will prevent air flowing into the genset and cause difficult starting, insufficient power, black smoke and consume more fuel and oil.
