This is only guaranteed if the regulations with regards to installation, operation, maintenance and repair are observed.     It’s important that no dust or debris can accumulate at the output shaft. This may damage the shaft seal. The GLOBE Piston Motor is only allowed in horizontal position or shaft pointing vertical downwards. It is not allowed for the shaft to point in any angle upwards.

  • Page 21: Operation Principle Brake

    The brake torque can be varied by means of two spring adjusters but it for ATEX application set by GLOBE to maximum torque which belongs with the operating pressure of the motor. At this pressure the brake will be fully released. Any unauthorized adjustment will make ATEX invalid.
  • Page 22 To comply to ATEX the holding torque is set by GLOBE and the brake is controlled with piping and special valves to be supplied by GLOBE. The brake must be mounted to a GLOBE Piston Airmotors of equivalent size ( Gor instance: RM1 10 BRAKE on RM1 10 Motor) including the correct piping and control valves supplied by GLOBE.
