This distribution amplifier offers all the features
and functionality of our 8901 utility DA and our
8902 equalizing DA, plus a dual-speed clamp
and video presence detection with SNMP trap
generation. While all Grass Valley distribution
amplifiers remove differential or common mode
hum induced by cable runs adjacent to AC
mains cables, this module offers a dual-speed
self-clamping circuit to handle single-ended
hum caused by grounded coaxial cable shields.
Additionally, a White Clipper circuit eliminates
impulse noise above a user-selectable
threshold. And the user-enabled video
presence detection feature generates SNMP
traps that can be sent to our NetCentral SNMP
manager or other SNMP systems for mission-
critical applications.
