AUTO POWER DOWN (APD)
DISABLING THE AUTO POWER DOWN
Instructions on disabling the Auto Power Down function and resetting to factory defaults.
Front panel controls
STANDBY/ON
Switches unit between Standby and On modes. Standby is a low power mode.
CARTRIDGE TYPE SELECTOR SWITCH
Selects between Moving Magnet (MM) or Moving Coil (MC) cartridge types for optimal performance.
HEADPHONE VOLUME
Adjusts the output volume level for connected headphones.
HEADPHONES
Allows connection of stereo headphones with a ¼” Jack plug.
Rear panel connections
AC POWER SOCKET
Connects the unit to the mains power supply.
OUTPUT SOCKETS
Connect to line level input on your amplifier, e.g., Aux.
BALANCE
Adjusts relative output levels of left and right channels for equal output.
MM INPUT SOCKETS
Connect outputs from a Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge turntable here.
TURNTABLE GROUND
Connect turntable grounding lead for shielding and noise reduction.

Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting No Power
Check AC power cord, plug, mains socket, and fuse for power issues.
Troubleshooting No Sound
Verify unit is on, source connected, speakers connected, and cartridge type is correct.
Troubleshooting Single Channel Sound
Check speaker and interconnect connections for single channel audio problems.
Troubleshooting Buzz or Hum
Inspect turntable ground, connections, and proximity to amplifier for noise.
Troubleshooting Weak Bass or Imaging
Ensure speakers are wired correctly for bass and stereo imaging issues.
Troubleshooting Volume Levels
Check cartridge type against input type for volume mismatch.
