the necessary procedures correctly, seek the services of a qualified technician.
• ATTENTION: This module requires programming at the OEM dealership after installation to work properly. Confirm that a local dealership is capable

Instructions
STEP 1: Remove negative battery cable.
STEP 2: Remove the storage tray cover at the top center area of the dashboard. Remove the two fasteners
from the storage tray and remove the tray.
STEP 3: If present, remove fastener from the storage compartment on the right side of the center dash trim
panel. Carefully disconnect all retainer clips and remove the trim panel. Remove all plugs from the back of
the panel. Remove the panel from the vehicle. NOTE: All fasteners should be retained for reinstallation.
STEP 4: Locate the factory trailer brake connector harness. Unplug from the switch filler panel at the back
of the center panel on the right side of the switch bank.
STEP 5: Remove two fasteners at the bottom of the trim panel under the steering wheel and carefully
remove the hood release latch. Unplug the OBD II port and remove the trim panel.
STEP 6: Place mounting bracket under the dash in the upper right section of the driver side footwell. Bolt
the bracket with three hex screws from the inner side of the bracket. NOTE: This process is made easier by
using the self-tapping screws to cut threads in the bracket prior to installing. The top screw that is forward
of the vehicle will be difficult to attach and may need to be approached from above through the center panel
opening. It may be necessary to use a socket extension and swivel-bit.
STEP 7: Place the Integrated Trailer Brake (ITB) module at the mounting bracket and click into place. Ensure
that all three clips are fully attached in the mounting slots.
STEP 8: Identify the 4-way and 10-way connector harnesses in the vehicle fastened under the dash near the
center stack. Carefully remove the harnesses and pull them down.
STEP 9: Connect the 4-way and 10-way connector harnesses into the ITB module.
STEP 10: Place the center trim panel face down on a solid work surface. Remove the four screws from the
back of the lower switch bank assembly. Remove the assembly from the panel. NOTE: To avoid any damage
or scratches, be sure to protect the trim panel face.
