STEP ONE

Wash the Pitcher

Hand-wash the pitcher, lid and reservoir with mild dish soap and rinse well.

STEP TWO

Rinse the filter

Rinse the filter with cold water for 15 seconds.

STEP THREE

Insert the filter

Line up the filter's groove with the notch in the reservoir and press the filter firmly into place.

Page 2 Set replacement reminder If your Brita has an electronic filter indicator, press and hold the status button for 2 seconds to activate it. If it comes with a sticker indicator, adjust the date so you’ll know when it’s time for a new filter (every 2 months for a Standard Filter).
Page 3 4. Replace filter as recommended to maintain optimal performance. How to change your Stream (Gray) Filter: 1. Flush your new Brita Stream® Filter with cold water for 15 seconds. 2. Insert filter into filter cage with blue ring facing up. Press filter until it clicks.
Page 4 7. When reassembling your pitcher after cleaning, be sure to correctly reinstall your reservoir and lid. The reservoir has a vent hole in the area that holds the filter. Make sure the vent is facing the back of the pitcher. For lids, the Fill Lid feature should be positioned toward the back.
