Installation and handling of units delivered standing When lifting the complete units off the pallet and to position in factory always use the marked lifting lugs on the side of the filter housing. Lifting holes in other parts, like transitions, fans etc, are not permitted for use when lifting complete unit.

Information sticker (app 85x45 mm) close to each approved lifting point. When filter is moved into it’s position, always bolt the unit to the floor! Always comply with the local regulations for safe handling and always create a safety zone around the area of erecting the unit. 8 (216)

Installation and handling of units delivered in parts Units too large to transport assembled are delivered in parts to be assembled at site. Always comply with the local regulations for safe handling and workers safety. Assembly of the unit is done in the air direction, starting from the floor and up. In general, the assembly instruction follows: 1) Assemble the inlet chamber and bolt to the floor in the proper position (with or without extension structure).
Page 10
3) Assemble the outlet chamber on top of the filter housings using sealant and bolts, washers and nuts according to above. Instantly remove excess sealant and improve painting if needed. 4) Assemble fan on top of the outlet chamber using the parts in the mounting kit according to below picture.
FibreDrain OMF/OSF may not be connected to processes with explosive and/or flammable environments. FibreDrain OMF/OSF may not be used on hot gasses. Max operational temperature 40°C for models with inbuilt fans and 60°C for models with external fan. When collecting neat oil (straight oil) it is always recommended to ground all componenets to eliminate risk for static electricity sparks.

HEPA differential pressure gauge. NOTE 1 this method of reducing airflow is always reducing the energy efficiency and Nederman strongly recommend to use an inverter airflow control since this will make sure that the system is operated with minimum energy consumption throughout the filter life.
In general horizontal ductwork should be installed with a slight slope towards the filter unit. Low points where oil can be accumulated/collected should be avoided. Nederman recommend that the duct system shall be designed with a conveying velocity of 12-15 m/s.
2.4 Drainage System Each oil mist collector incorporates two drainage sockets in the base of the sump, size DN25 internal thread. One drainage connection is fitted with a blanking plug whilst the other is used for drainage. There are two drainage options available, see diagram 2.1: Option 1.
2.5 Electrical installation Note: The electrical installation must be performed by qualified electricians. Disconnect the power supply to the filter unit before it is opened and/or before starting work on the filter unit. For information regarding installation, refer to the wiring diagram in the product data sheet.
3 Safety Instructions 3.1 Appropriate Safeguards During Maintenance work consider the following risks: Warning: Risk of Electric Shock to avoid this: Before servicing the oil mist filter, ensure the safety switch is turned off, locked and test for dead. Risk of Fall to avoid this: Use safe ladders / platforms.
Warning: A used filter element saturated with oil can have a weight of up to 40 kg. NOTE! The FibreDrain OMF & OSF 1000-2 has two filter stages. Filter stage 1 is a combination filter and stage two is a HEPA filter.

4.2 Washing Stage 1 Filter Element (not for FibreDrain OMF & OSF 1000-2) The stage 1 filter element is washable up to 3 times. The procedure is as follows: 1. Remove the filter element as described under paragraph 4.1 2. Place the filter element in a suitable location where the oil can be separated from the wash water.
6 Spare Parts List For trouble-free operation and guaranteed performance, we recommend that only original spare parts from Nederman are used. Part numbers can be found on the equipment nameplate, or contact Nederman. Always reference Nederman order No / project No. 20 (216)
