    8.11 Panel unit (1) Remove the taptite cup S M3x5 screw to disconnect the second side CIS FG harness from the machine. (2) Press the lock lever R, open the panel unit and upper document chute. Bend the machine inward to remove the two bosses on the upper document chute, and remove the panel unit and upper document chute from the machine.

Release the four hooks on the left and right, slide the panel unit to diagonally backward to release the four hooks on the front, and remove the panel unit from the upper document chute.
