Set the [GUIDE LINE] in the [CUSTOM MENU] menu to [

Press [Q.MENU] to display the quick menu. (P29)
Press 2/1 to select guide line, and then press [MENU/

SET].

You can also use the front dial to set.

Selected item will be displayed in orange in the quick menu
screen, and the guide line itself will be displayed in orange when
the guide line is selected.
Press 3/4/2/1 to set the position.

Press [MENU/SET] to finish the setting.

Press [Q.MENU] to close the quick menu.

You can also press the shutter button halfway to close the quick
menu.

Position of the guide line can be set from the [CUSTOM MENU]
menu too.
∫ About the Histogram
A histogram is a graph that displays brightness along the horizontal axis (black to white)
and the number of pixels at each brightness level on the vertical axis.
It allows you to easily check a picture's exposure.
1 Dark area, mid-tone, and bright area are balanced out evenly, making it suitable to take
a picture.
2 The picture will become underexposed with more dark area. The pictures with mostly
dark area, such as night scenery, will also have a histogram like this.
3 The picture will become overexposed with more bright area. The pictures with mostly
white area will also have a histogram like this.
